World Record holders in Flight Time and Aviation Safety -- our Pilots are some of the best in the world. Period.

Director of Operations

Richie Olsten

With over 50 years of flight time across the Hawaiian Islands, Richie Olsten is more than a pilot — he's a living legend in the skies of Hawai‘i. As Director of Operations for both Air Maui and Air Kaua‘i, Richie holds world records, has performed with the Blue Angels, and continues to fly with the same passion he had as a kid in a Piper Cub. From aerobatic air shows to emergency missions and emotional, music-scored tours, his deep knowledge, instinct, and love for Hawai‘i make every flight unforgettable. For Richie, flying isn’t just a job — it’s who he is.

Since then, he’s flown every model of A-Star across every island, logging more hours over Kaua‘i than any other pilot — by thousands. With unmatched local knowledge and experience, John brings both skill and aloha to every flight.

Pilot

Mario Salis

With almost 20 years of experience flying helicopters and airplanes in different countries around the world, he's achieved his dream to live and fly in Hawai'i. When he's not busy giving you the best tour of your life, you’ll find him, diving, sailing or riding dirt bikes around Kauai.

He's a guy that absolutely loves what he does and and gives great advice about the best spots on the island!
